The room is cold but manageable – an electric heater in the room classifies as luxury. When packing for this visit, I looked at the very thick socks worn at Sherborne and decided against bringing them. But I brought & have donned thermal underpants acquired for 10 months at Sherborne House in 1975-76.

First event of the day: to the village school where Walter & Elan were working with the children on rhythmic attention exercises. The exercises challenged me, the children doing significantly better. Returning to the camp, good news: fortuitiously, Aunt Vivien Elliot is visiting with son Hugh.

I have a better sense of why Lord Pentland held such animosity towards JGB, which continues to this day. Even, the subject arose this week in correspondence with a well known guitarist & pal, a member of a NY Foundation group.

In the afternoon, invited to a Movements class with George: what a privilege to be present with a group of people applying themselves to this remarkable practice.

After tea, a presentation from the draft notes of Discipline & The Act Of Music. Then to a reading of Beelezebub & dinner.

Now, dribbling.
